Reports suggest a rift has developed among Republicans over who should run in a special election.
As a result of internal disagreements the Clinton County Republican Committee issued a statement Thursday that said Chairwoman Jerika Manning continues to have the unanimous support and confidence of the committee. A social media post indicated that the show of support followed what was as described as “threatening calls from some of the highest-ranking Republican officials in (the) district” regarding the committee’s choice for the anticipated special election in the 115th Assembly district seat.
