The North Country is the target area of a search for a suspect wanted in a capital region homicide.
A multi-agency search for a homicide suspect continues in the Adirondacks. The search started in the Town of Brighton, specifically the Gabriels area, where the suspects abandoned pickup truck was located. State Police say they want to talk with 53-year-old Anthony G. Bechard regarding a Cohoes, NY homicide that was first reported Sunday morning. Investigators report Bechard may be armed and dangerous. He is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair. Forest Rangers and Customs and Border Protection are assisting State Police and the Cohoes Police department in the search.
