Smart Growth Grants

The DEC announced more than $3 million in Community Smart Growth Grants awarded in North Country.

Twenty-six North Country communities and organizations received money for various projects from the DEC. Two Clinton County organizations were awarded over $230,000 in smart grants. One is for a Housing Needs Assessment and the other is to establish an architectural salvage warehouse in the Town of Ausable. The DEC said the “Smart Growth” grant initiatives will support a region renowned for connecting visitors to nature.
