A better than expected student enrollment and an improving economy have helped the local college.
SUNY Plattsburgh appears to be in good shape as the Fall Semester is about to get under way according to President Alexander Enyedi. He reported that the number of student deposits totaled 1,858 at the end of July, placing the institution above their budget target. Enyedi also said SUNY Plattsburgh’s financial position remains strong compared to its SUNY peers citing a significantly smaller loss in the total cash balance over last year. He indicated that was primarily due to higher student enrollment and higher interest income.
