SUNY Plattsburgh will celebrate the naturalization of nearly two dozen new U.S. citizens during a ceremony on Friday, March 28, at 11 a.m. in the Krinovitz Recital Hall. The Hon. Glenn Suddaby, U.S. district judge, and the Hon. Gary Favreau, U.S. magistrate judge, both SUNY Plattsburgh alumni, will preside over the event. University President Alexander Enyedi will welcome the new citizens, their families, and mentors, while the Plattsburgh High School a cappella group will perform. After remarks from Suddaby and Favreau, candidates will take the oath of citizenship, with Favreau’s courtroom deputy, Dawn Shaheen, administering the pledge. The ceremony will be followed by an Alumni in the Classroom luncheon, where the justices will engage with students.
