Trout Season Starts April First
The NY Department of Environmental Conservation reports that April 1st is the start of the spring trout fishing season. They say their extensive spring stocking includes nearly 1.9 million trout in waters statewide, enhancing the diversity of fishing opportunities available to anglers. The state stocks ponds and streams from mid-March through early June.
