A fire at a home on Margaret Street in Keeseville, New York, early Thursday morning claimed the lives of two people. The blaze broke out around 1 a.m., and firefighters found the home fully engulfed, preventing immediate entry. Once the flames were under control, responders discovered the bodies of 65-year-olds Elizabeth L. Shalton and William E. Regazzi. Initial searches led to the discovery of one victim, with the second body found after further investigation. Local resident Polly King, who witnessed the fire, acted quickly to protect neighboring homes as the flames spread rapidly.
