A Congressional bill named after a local veteran passed with bipartisan support and is going to the Senate.
A bill named after a North Country Veteran appears to be on its way to becoming law. The Ernest Peltz Accrued Veterans Benefits Act passed the House with bipartisan support according to North Country Congresswoman Elise Stefanik. In a press release, Stefanik said this commonsense bipartisan legislation honors the legacy of World War II veteran Ernest Peltz and takes a critical step toward improving the VA’s effectiveness and accountability. The bill now moves on to the Senate for approval.
