The Town of Plattsburgh wants taxpayers to know a change in postal service may cause late payments.
The Postal Service reports they have adjusted transportation operations which may cause the date on the postmark to be different from the date the mail piece was collected by a letter carrier or dropped off at a post office. This could result in late payments if mailed close to the date they are due.
