North Country Municipalities will receive grant money for water quality improvement projects.
Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties will get around $7 million dollars combined from the state for water quality improvements and climate resiliency projects. Clinton County will receive just under $2.5 million for two water projects and $50,000 for a green infrastructure feasibility study in the town of Plattsburgh. Essex County will get a little less than $3 million and Franklin County will receive almost $6 million dollars. The funding is part of more than $265 Million dollars that NY has earmarked for water quality and climate resiliency projects statewide.
