A huge wind guest was measured at the top of Whiteface Mountain researchers in the observatory report.
On Monday the Whiteface Mountain summit observatory recorded a 112-mph wind gust. According to the Atmospheric Sciences Research Center, that is the strongest wind gust measured in 10 years on the summit. The mountain Field Station is part of SUNY Albany's Weather Enterprise.
