The NY State Gaming Commission is looking for comments on draft measures to stop youth gambling.

The legal age to wager on sports in NY is 21. The Gaming Commission requires all licensed operators to have appropriate age assurance tools to prevent those under 21 from creating an account. However, the commission reports, it is evident that underaged individuals have placed wagers. The Commission has published two draft regulations detailing potential safeguards and wants to hear from parent-teacher organizations, schools and religious organizations. The Commission is accepting comments until May 15^th.
