106.3 NBZ-FM Welcomes Veteran Broadcaster and Author Jerry Crouth

Plattsburgh, N.Y. — October 12, 2025 — 106.3 NBZ-FM, “The Greatest Hits of All Time,” is proud to welcome veteran broadcaster Jerry Crouth to its weekend programming lineup. Crouth, who has hosted his beloved show for more than 25 years from his flagship station in Saratoga Springs, brings his signature blend of storytelling, warmth, and timeless music to listeners throughout the North Country and Champlain Valley.

For a quarter century, The Oldies Show with Jerry Crouth has entertained audiences with an upbeat mix of classic pop, rock, and soul from the 1950s through the 1970s — enriched with Crouth’s personal anecdotes, artist insights, and historical context that bring each era’s music vividly to life. Now, NBZ-FM listeners can enjoy the same rich broadcast tradition every Sunday at 6 a.m.

“I’ve always believed that the stories behind the songs are as meaningful as the melodies themselves,” said Crouth. “After 25 years on the air from Saratoga Springs, I’m thrilled to expand the show’s reach to NBZ-FM and connect with even more music lovers across the North Country. A familiar voice in the Albany–Saratoga radio market, Jerry Crouth’s broadcast career began in August 1998, when John Meaney hired him as a DJ and Marketing Executive on WKAJ AM 900 in Saratoga Springs. His warmth and natural rapport with listeners quickly made him a local favorite. In February 2001, Crouth joined Anastos Media as a Marketing Executive and continued his popular WKAJ program, Sentimental Journey, on WABY in Malta, NY. When Anastos Media was purchased and renamed Empire Broadcasting Corporation in 2012, Crouth remained on-air until the station ceased operation in March 2018.

After a brief hiatus, Jerry returned to the Saratoga airwaves in 2020 as an Account Executive and DJ on Star Radio 93.3, owned by Loud Media, where he hosted a listener-driven Saturday morning program called The 50s–60s Show, featuring song requests, trivia, and plenty of listener interaction. Since September 2024, his current show, The Oldies Show with Jerry Crouth, has aired on 93.3 Lake FM (now 93.3 & 96.1 FUN FM) with an updated format spotlighting hits of the ’60s and ’70s. Jerry's program continues to air on Fun FM every Saturday morning from 8–10 a.m in Saratoga Springs.

Beyond the microphone, Crouth is also an author. His heartfelt new book, Thank You Mom: My Life’s Stories Growing Up in the Forties, chronicles his early years, family experiences, and the postwar world that shaped his generation. The memoir reflects the same nostalgic tone and authenticity that have made his radio storytelling so beloved.

While 106.3 NBZ-FM is independently owned and operated by NBZ, LLC, this collaboration highlights the growing partnership between independent broadcasters and regional content creators. Loud Media, led by CEO Aaron Ishmael, has just recently begun distributing The Oldies Show with Jerry Crouth to sister stations within Loud Media, with this marking the first time The Oldies Show has been syndicated outside of the company. “We’re thrilled to offer The Oldies Show with Jerry Crouth to NBZ-FM,” said Ishmael. “Jerry is a true radio craftsman — his voice, humor, and heart make him one of the greats.
