Animal rescuers in Suffolk County, New York successfully freed a kitten trapped in a storm drain pipe using an innovative remote-controlled car method. The Strong Island Animal Rescue League responded Tuesday night to a call from Suffolk police about the stranded kitten in Manorville. Rescuer Frankie Floridia could not fit through the narrow pipe connecting two storm drains. The team deployed a remote-controlled car into one end of the pipe to push the kitten safely out the other side.
