Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Sunday that President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping could finalize the TikTok deal on Thursday in Korea. “We reached a final deal on TikTok. We reached one in Madrid, and I believe that as of today, all the details are ironed out,” Bessent said. Trump signed an executive order in late September to complete the $14 billion agreement. The Department of Agriculture has announced that federal food aid will not be distributed on November 1st if the government shutdown continues. The agency’s notice follows the Trump administration’s decision not to use about $5 billion in contingency funds to maintain Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, payments. Former New York Jets center Nick Mangold has died at age 41 from complications of kidney disease. The seven-time Pro Bowler recently shared he was on dialysis and searching for a kidney donor.
