Wanda Jean Carroll - Host, Transformative Paths
Wanda J. Carroll is the host of Transformative Paths, a weekly program focused on personal growth, accountability, and real-life change. Her work is all about helping people better understand themselves, their choices, and how to build healthier relationships.
Wanda teaches in the School of Business and Economics and the Communications field at SUNY Plattsburgh. She has also taught courses in sociology, social work, criminal justice, business communication, and ethics. She focuses on how people communicate, especially during stress, and how small changes in thinking can lead to better outcomes.
She is also the lead facilitator of the PACT program at Behavioral Health Services North (BHSN). In this role, she works with individuals on accountability, behavior change, and building safer, healthier patterns. Her work is grounded in trauma-informed care and real-life application.
Earlier in her career, Wanda worked as a crisis responder and advocate, supporting individuals through some of the most difficult moments in their lives. That experience continues to shape how she approaches conversations—with honesty, compassion, and respect.
Wanda also brings a strong background in performance and media. She studied opera performance and piano, recorded with EMI Records, and has voiced radio commercials across the country. She spent eight seasons singing the National Anthem for the San Antonio Spurs and has performed for several other professional sports organizations.
She is the author of Transformative Paths: A Journey to Nonviolent Living, a book that focuses on accountability, growth, and creating lasting change. Learn more at changeisapractice.com.
Wanda believes that change is not something we arrive at—it’s something we practice every day.
