  A Pennsylvania team won the 64th annual Au Sable Forks Fast-Pitch (softball) Tournament. The FIFA Men's World Cup semifinals begin today. The St. Louis Cardinals' Jordan Walker won the MLB Home Run Derby last night.

• Criss On Sports - July 13, 2026

  Sun-filled skies and steady winds provided the perfect canvas for the annual Plattsburgh Mayor's Cup Regatta. The Clinton County Jr. and Sr. Mariners and Plattsburgh Commodores all participated in (separate) weekend tournaments. The Boston Red Sox swept the New York Mets to extend their winning streak to nine games. The Yankees swept the Nationals as well.

• Criss On Sports - July 10, 2026

  The rain washed away last night's racing card at Airborne Park Speedway. Chazy Orchards and NGT picked up victories in North Country Soccer League competition. The Clinton County Jr. and Sr. Mariners have busy weekends ahead. The Red Sox, Yankees, and Mets won yesterday.

About Steve Criss

Steve grew up right here in the North Country, graduating from Beekmantown High School ('84).  Steve has always had a dream of being on the radio and has broadcast live local sports for over half a decade!  Now, Steve doesn't have to stay in his own lane, and he's bringing Criss on Sports to NBZ-FM!

Steve, and his wife Nina, reside in Beekmantown with their three dogs, and are proud parents of two sons and two daughters.  Hunter, Ryan, Gretchen and Rachel are in their early twenties, and are enjoying strong starts in their respective careers!
