U2 at the Sphere

Over the weekend, U2 closed out their residency at Sphere in Las Vegas with their 40th concert there. They became the first band to play there last year and fans got to enjoy the shows with it’s16K resolution wrap-around screen which is the largest LED screen in the world.

A few quick facts about U2’s Vegas shows… The planning and production took roughly 18 months to prepare and the stage was created in the shape of a record player.

Ticket demand was so high for the first 5 announced shows that they continued to add more.

Sphere has 1,586 permanently installed speakers and U2 still added more. So for each concert, they were heard through a total of 1,886 speakers.

Every show was sold out and since they opened in September, they played to a total of 661,456 fans.
