Stewart's Holiday Match

From Thanksgiving Day (November 26) through Christmas Day, every donation you drop in the Holiday Match can at your neighborhood Stewart's Shop gets matched, cent for cent, by Stewart's. Give a dollar and local kids get two.

There are no administrative fees. Every dollar raised goes to non-profit organizations right here in our communities that serve children under 18.

How you can help

Next time you stop in for coffee, gas or a half gallon of ice cream, put your change, or a little more, in the Holiday Match can at the register. Small gifts add up quickly when they're doubled.

Run a children's organization? Apply for funding

Local non-profits that serve kids can apply from Thanksgiving Day through January 31. Funds are awarded in March. To be eligible:

• The organization needs a valid IRS 501(c)(3) letter. Schools, churches and town municipalities are exempt from this requirement.
• Most of the people the organization serves must be children under 18.
• Groups that run programs for kids year-round get preference over single-event efforts.
• Funding stays in the local market area and does not cover travel outside it.

Ask for what you actually need. Stewart's says it will give what it can rather than turn down a request it can't fully cover. Include last year's operating budget or a detailed program budget with your application.
