Clinton County gets fed grant for emergency response boat

Clinton County is receiving a 500-thousand-dollar federal grant to buy a specially equipped patrol and emergency-response boat for Lake Champlain. The sheriff’s office says the vessel will be used for emergencies and patrols along the international waters bordering Canada and Vermont. Ulster County is receiving 794-thousand dollars for law enforcement technology and equipment upgrades.
