Clinton County Man Charged With Criminal Contempt

A 27 year old Plattsburgh man is facing five misdemeanor counts of second-degree criminal contempt. The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office says Tyler Cornish-Dukes was arrested after deputies determined he allegedly violated an order of protection. He was released under pretrial conditions and is due back in Town of Plattsburgh Court at a later date.

Saranac River Rescue Saves Four

Four people, including a baby, were rescued after becoming stranded in the swift current of the Saranac River in Plattsburgh. Firefighters say seven crew members used specialized swiftwater rescue equipment to safely bring three adults and the child back to shore. No injuries were reported.

SUNY Plattsburgh Expands Narcan Training

SUNY Plattsburgh is expanding Narcan training for students, faculty and staff to help prevent overdose deaths. The university is partnering with the Alliance for Positive Health to teach participants how to administer the lifesaving medication and provide free Narcan kits. More than 130 Education Opportunity Program students will also receive training this summer.
