CVPH Blood Center Closure Draws Community Opposition

Hospital employees, elected officials, and community members are speaking out against the planned July tenth closure of the Adirondack Regional Blood Center in Plattsburgh. CVPH says partnering with the American Red Cross will help ensure a reliable blood supply while supporting the hospital’s long-term financial stability.

The American Red Cross is helping a family displaced by an early Thursday fire on Honey Drive in Plattsburgh. Assistance was provided to two adults and two children, including financial aid for immediate needs, comfort kits, emotional support, and stuffed animals for the children.
