Three Clinton Faculty Members Honored by SUNY

Three Clinton Community College faculty members have received 2026 SUNY Chancellor’s Excellence Awards. Mary Lou Allen was honored for adjunct teaching, Gina Lindsey for teaching, and Dawn Maille for faculty service. College officials say the awards recognize outstanding dedication to students, teaching, and campus service.

A Plattsburgh family has been displaced after a garage fire late Wednesday night/early Thursday morning on Honey Drive. Officials say the blaze may have been sparked by lightning. No injuries were reported, but the home sustained fire damage. Trees also fell in the area during the same storm.
Town Hall Accessibility Project Delayed Until August

The Town of Plattsburgh has postponed its Town Hall accessibility improvement project until August third. The work includes a regraded parking lot, new sidewalks, and a new accessible entrance. During construction, the north entrance will close, with visitors directed to the Banker Road entrance or curbside service.
Red Cross Assists Family After Plattsburgh Fire

The American Red Cross is helping a family displaced by an early Thursday fire on Honey Drive in Plattsburgh. Assistance was provided to two adults and two children, including financial aid for immediate needs, comfort kits, emotional support, and stuffed animals for the children.
