The 750-mile trail network supports nearly 9,700 jobs statewide. In the Champlain Valley region, the trail produces more than $101 million in annual economic output and supports about 530 jobs.
Wastewater Training Event Set at Clinton Community College

Wastewater operators from across the North Country are being invited to a training event June 24 at Clinton Community College’s Institute for Advanced Manufacturing in Plattsburgh. The one-day program will offer hands-on instruction in pumping systems, maintenance, controls, and operations. Participants can earn six continuing education units required for maintaining wastewater operator licenses.

New York environmental officials have announced more than $78 million in grant funding for water quality improvement projects statewide. The money will support wastewater infrastructure upgrades, drinking water protection, flood resilience efforts, and harmful algal bloom prevention.
