Massive Drug And Weapons Bust Shuts Down Illegal Dispensaries

Federal, state and local authorities say a major drug and weapons investigation in northern New York has led to the shutdown of three illegal marijuana dispensaries in Massena. Investigators seized more than one-thousand pounds of marijuana products, 40 pounds of suspected methamphetamine and about 20 illegal firearms during Operation Weed Out. Officials say the businesses were accused of selling unlicensed and illegal THC products, including items marketed to children. Law enforcement agencies from across the North Country assisted in the investigation.
