Plattsburgh Man Jailed Following Domestic Dispute

57 year old Stephen Baker of Plattsburgh faces seven charges following an August 22 domestic dispute. Clinton County deputies say Baker entered a home, assaulted and choked someone, threatened the person with a weapon and prevented a 911 call. He was jailed in lieu of $20,000 cash bail.

Adirondack Railroad will offer round-trip service from Utica to the Remsen Barn Festival September 26 and 27. Trains leave Union Station at 9:30 a.m. and return at 5:45 p.m. Round-trip fares start at $22 for adults and $15 for children.
Red Cross Assists Seven After Ellenburg Center Fire

The American Red Cross provided emergency assistance to seven people following a Wednesday afternoon fire on West Hill Road in Ellenburg Center. Six adults and one child received help for shelter, food and clothing. Volunteers also provided emotional support and personal care items.
