New York environmental conservation officers are highlighting wildlife protection efforts across the state. In Saratoga County, an officer rescued an injured wild turkey along Route 29 in Milton after it was apparently struck by a vehicle. The bird was treated at a rehabilitation facility and later released back into the wild. Statewide, environmental conservation officers also took part in youth turkey hunts and Earth Week enforcement details aimed at protecting wildlife and natural resources across New York.
