An Assistant Forest Ranger who worked in the remote Adirondack wilderness was honored last week.
The Department of Environmental Conservation is honoring Assistant Forest Ranger Brendan Jackson who passed away while camping in Franklin County in late June. Since joining DEC, Brendan served in the remote Adirondack wilderness. He received a Bachelor's in Forestry from Paul Smith's College and a Master's in Forest Resource Management from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. The Division of Forest Protection Honor Guard served at his funeral last week.
