The North Country Chamber of Commerce’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast kicked off Friday morning at the West Side Ballroom, drawing hundreds to celebrate the festive occasion. Now in its 66th year, the event featured Irish-themed fun, including comedy sketches and trivia focused on local history. A highlight of the morning was the presentation of the "Irish Person of the Year" award to Bill Meyers of Casella Waste Systems, recognized for his community contributions. Meyers accepted the honor, crediting his success to the support of the North Country community and expressing his gratitude for the mentorship he has received.
