A voluntary recall of Cabot Creamery premium butter has been issued.
Agri-Mark, the parent company of Cabot Creamery, said the product effected is a single lot of Cabot Creamery 8oz extra creamy premium butter, sea salted. The company said in a statement on the Cabot website the reason for the recall is an elevated level of bacteria. The butter is distributed in NY, VT and five other states. The Lot Code of the recalled premium butter is 090925-055
