Out of state snowmobilers can enjoy NY trails this weekend and next without paying a state registration fee

NY registration has been waived for out-of-state Snowmobilers during two upcoming weekends according to the Office of Parks and Recreation. During the free snowmobiling weekends, this coming weekend and again March 6-8, the registration requirement in NY is waived for already properly registered and insured out-of-state snowmobiling enthusiasts. This move is intended to help support tourism for local economies and reinforce NY's commitment to the snowmobiling industry. The Office of Parks and Recreation reports that the state features more than 10,000 miles of snow-covered and groomed trails.
