Several factors are pushing up fuel prices, in Clinton County the price of gas has significantly increased.
With Spring ushering in warmer weather and more cars on the road, gas prices are trending upward alongside seasonal demand. Additionally, the price of a barrel of crude continues to climb as hostilities in the middle east continues. The national price for a gallon of gas is up by 28 cents from last week to an average of $3.88 according to AAA. Locally, Clinton County once among the lowest in the state is now near the high mark at $3.84 a gallon with the State average at $3.73 according to the Triple-A survey.
