The first municipal-level food waste collection program in Clinton County opens tomorrow.
The Clinton County Health Department said the effort is the result of a collaboration with the health department's "Eat Smart, Waste Less" program and Champlain. Residents in the community can take food scraps to collection sites to be recycled. The scraps will then be hauled to an organics recycling facility in Redford, NY.
