Reaction continues to come in regarding the Governor’s $260 billion proposed executive budget. New York Farm Bureau President, David Fisher, said in a statement the bureau is pleased that the budget includes an increase of $5 million in funding for a Dairy Farm Modernization Grant, the inclusion of $30 million to aid eligible farm operations affected by tariff changes and a $400,000 increase for NY FarmNet. Fisher said, “We will continue to work with Governor Hochul and members of the legislature to ensure critical funding for agriculture is included in the final budget”.
