NY State is still without a new budget and a second extender was put in place to run through Tuesday.
State lawmakers briefly returned to Albany this week to pass a second state budget extender. Senator Dan Stec said he voted for the extension to ensure the state meets its financial obligations and public employees get paid. Senator Stec said this is the fifth year in a row, Democrat leaders have failed to pass an on-time budget. The current extension provides funding through next Tuesday.
