Clinton County boasts one of the lowest average prices for regular gas in NYS According to the Triple-A.
In Clinton County the AAA says the average price of regular gas per gallon at the pump is just over $2.99. Statewide the avg price per gallon is $3.12 down about 9 cents from a month ago and 10 cents from a year ago. The national average has dropped more than 5 cents to $3.05. Several factors are behind the drop, including falling crude oil prices, lower gasoline demand, and cheaper winter-blend gasoline at the pump. Additionally, AAA reports storm activity hasn’t had an impact on gas prices so far this fall season.
