Two veterans of law enforcement will go head-to-head in the race for Clinton County Sheriff in November

Two veteran law enforcement officers are in the race for Clinton County Sheriff. Retired State Police Commander, Brent Davison, announced his candidacy over the weekend and current Sheriff, Dave Favro, has now said he’ll be seeking re-election. Favro is serving in his sixth consecutive four-year term as Sheriff of Clinton County. He first won election in November of 2002. Prior to becoming the county’s top cop, Favro spent 20 years with the Plattsburgh City Police Deptment.
