A citizen science project allows the public to participate in wildlife monitoring with trail cameras.
The project, a collaborative effort between the DEC and the Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit at Cornell University, will help improve the way DEC monitors and manages more than a dozen wildlife species. Through the deployment of trail cameras, data will be collected that will help the DEC continue to make informed decisions, improve the effectiveness of wildlife conservation and track changes in wildlife populations over time.
