SpaceKap, North America's leading fiberglass truck body manufacturer, has officially opened its U.S. division in Plattsburgh, signaling significant growth for the company in 2025. The Canadian company acquired a 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse at 206 Tom Miller Road to establish its U.S. plant, aiming to better serve the growing American market, which accounts for 50% of its sales. The expansion will bring customizable, durable service truck bodies to U.S. businesses, including those in construction and emergency services, while allowing SpaceKap to bid on government contracts. Local leaders, including Plattsburgh Town Supervisor Michael S. Cashman, celebrated the company’s move, noting the positive impact on the region’s economy. SpaceKap’s new presence in Plattsburgh is expected to create new opportunities and strengthen its American identity.
