92-year-old man convicted of 1967 murder in the UK

A 92-year-old man was found guilty of raping and murdering 75-year-old Louisa Dunne in 1967, marking the resolution of one of the UK's longest-standing cold cases. Ryland Headley was convicted by a jury at Bristol crown court for the attack that took place in southwestern England. The case remained unsolved for 58 years until DNA evidence from Dunne's clothing linked Headley to the crime scene. Headley had previously been convicted of two counts of rape in the late 1970s. Despite the lack of live witnesses in court, written testimonies from past witnesses and victims were crucial in securing the conviction. Headley is set to be sentenced on Tuesday. (Cbsnews)
