British woman, 21, sets three world records by rowing across Atlantic Ocean

Zara Lachlan, a 21-year-old British woman, successfully rowed 4,366 miles across the Atlantic Ocean from Lagos, Portugal, to Cayenne, French Guinea. This remarkable journey, completed in a 24-foot boat, took Lachlan 97 days, 10 hours, and 20 minutes to accomplish. In doing so, she achieved three Guinness World Records: the first female to row from Europe to South America (mainland to mainland), the youngest person to row solo across the Atlantic from Europe to South America, and the youngest person to row any ocean solo. Lachlan shared that despite the challenges, she found the experience enjoyable and managed to row for at least 17 hours daily, with short breaks of 90 minutes or less for sleep. (Upi)
