A woman convicted in a Clinton County animal cruelty case is back in jail over an alleged probation violation. Hilary Davis was convicted last year after 49 dogs were seized from the former Beekmantown shelter she operated. Prosecutors say she later kept eight dogs for more than 12 hours a day inside a rented trailer in Keeseville. Davis denies violating probation and is due back in court September 11.
