The Clinton County Industrial Development Agency has approved its first project under a new Workforce Development Program aimed at strengthening local job training and attracting new businesses. The project supports the Institute for Advanced Manufacturing at Clinton Community College. Officials say the program will expand hands-on training in machining, welding, electrical systems and industrial technology fields. More than 150 people are expected to receive training tied directly to regional workforce needs and employment opportunities in Clinton County.
