50 year old David Gooley of Champlain was jailed following an investigation into an alleged domestic assault. State police were called to Perry Mills Road back on August 22nd after Gooley allegedly punched a person older than 65 near the left eye and ear. The victim was evaluated by Champlain EMS but declined hospital treatment. Gooley is now charged with felony second-degree assault, and he was locked up in the Clinton County Jail. Bail was set at five-thousand dollars cash or 10-thousand dollars secured bond.
