The Clinton County Legislature has proclaimed September as Hunger Action Month, calling attention to food insecurity across the county. Feeding America estimates 10,710 county residents lack consistent access to enough food, including about one in five children. The Regional Food Bank and its partner agencies provide assistance through local pantries and other programs. County lawmakers are encouraging residents and businesses to donate food or money, volunteer or support local hunger-relief organizations.
