Students at CV-TEC in Plattsburgh have completed major repairs on the North Country Honor Flight bus ahead of this year’s veteran trips to Washington, D.C. Students in diesel mechanics, automotive technology, and collision repair programs spent nearly four months replacing wheel bearings, steering components, lighting systems, and exhaust parts. Honor Flight leaders say the repairs helped keep the aging bus roadworthy while a newer 2017 bus donated by the Saranac Central School District is prepared for future use. The first Honor Flight trip of the year is scheduled for this coming Saturday.
