Forest Rangers Complete Multiple Adirondack Rescues

New York forest rangers responded to several rescue missions across the Adirondacks over the past week and a half. Crews assisted injured and overdue hikers and helped a stranded canoer after a boat sank. Three of the incidents extended into overnight operations, with all of the calls occurring during the late afternoon or evening hours.

Plattsburgh Man Charged With DWI

A 35 year old Plattsburgh man is facing drunken driving charges following a traffic stop in the City of Plattsburgh. Clinton County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Sean Kelly shortly after midnight last Thursday. Authorities allege Kelly was driving while intoxicated and speeding. He was released with appearance tickets.

New York’s 13th annual Invasive Species Awareness Week runs through June 14.
