Next Move NY Program Connects Veterans With North Country Jobs

A new state-funded program is working to connect transitioning soldiers, veterans, and military spouses with job opportunities in New York’s North Country. The initiative, known as Next Move NY, partners with the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce to link military families from the Fort Drum community with local employers through a specialized job portal. The service is free and aims to match candidates with careers, mentorships, and internships based on their skills and experience. Leaders say the goal is to help military families build long-term careers while encouraging them to settle in New York.
