Online Program Focuses on Invasive Species Prevention

An online program aimed at helping residents protect native plants, insects and aquatic species is set for June 30 from 6:30 to 7:30 p-m, offering practical tips and resources to prevent the spread of invasive plants and animals. Registration is available online through Local Living Venture.

Honor Flight Sends Veterans to Washington

Twenty-eight North Country veterans departed Plattsburgh Saturday on Honor Flights 70 and 71 to Washington, D-C. Among them were brothers Gary and Elmer Durant, who served during the Vietnam era. Three Arrests Reported by Clinton County Sheriff’s Office

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office reports three recent arrests. Austin D. Velie of Plattsburgh and Matthew E. DEC To Host Wetlands Regulations Webinar

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation will host a virtual webinar on Tuesday to explain recent changes to freshwater wetlands regulations following a court ruling. The session begins at 11 a-m and will cover permitting, jurisdictional determinations and wetland protections. Registration is required, and a recording will be available afterward.
Keeseville Man Arrested on Bench Warrant

34 year old Mark L. Gagnier Jr. of Keeseville was arrested Saturday morning on a bench warrant issued by Plattsburgh City Court. The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office says Gagnier failed to appear for a scheduled court hearing. He was arraigned in Town of Plattsburgh Court and remanded to the Clinton County Correctional Facility.
