Honor Flight Sends Veterans to Washington

Twenty-eight North Country veterans departed Plattsburgh Saturday on Honor Flights 70 and 71 to Washington, D-C. Among them were brothers Gary and Elmer Durant, who served during the Vietnam era. Organizers say the trip marked the final Honor Flight before the nation’s 250th anniversary celebration next year.
Will Rogers Lecture Explores Adirondack Indigenous History

Saranac Village at Will Rogers in Saranac Lake will host a free presentation on Adirondack Indigenous history, Thursday at 2:30 p-m. Authors Curt Stager and David Fadden will discuss their book, “The First Adirondackers,” and explore 12,000 years of Indigenous history in the Adirondack region. Light refreshments will be provided.
Online Program Focuses on Invasive Species Prevention

Keeseville Man Arrested on Bench Warrant

34 year old Mark L. Gagnier Jr. of Keeseville was arrested Saturday morning on a bench warrant issued by Plattsburgh City Court. The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office says Gagnier failed to appear for a scheduled court hearing. He was arraigned in Town of Plattsburgh Court and remanded to the Clinton County Correctional Facility.
